Top 6 Outright Betting Favourites
- Manchester City 23/10
Manchester City are the bookmakers favourites to win the league under new manager Pep Guardiola. City have already strengthened the squad by signing Ilkay Gundogan to control the midfield, along with their regular list of superstars including Aguero, DeBryne and Da Silva.
- Man United 3/1
Jose Mourinho takes over from Louis Van Gaal this season and will look to play a different style of football from the 2015/16 season. Mourinho has wasted little time rebuilding the squad to be a more attacking threat by signing the likes of playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan and power forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
- Chelsea 6/1
Chelsea will also be facing a fresh start this season under ex-Italian manager Antonio Conte. N’Golo Kante has been brought in from last seasons champions Leicester to help control the midfield and Chelsea will be looking to make one or two more big name signings before the start of the season.
- Arsenal 6/1
Arsenal share the same betting odds as Chelsea and will fancy their chances to win the Premier League this season after strengthening their squad with midfielder Granit Xhaka. Xhaka will bring much needed aggression to the Gunners midfield and look to supply Giroud up front.
- Liverpool 9/1
Jurgen Klopp has been this off-season and cleared out 7 players and brought in another 6, to give Liverpool more pace for his “heavy metal” football. Liverpool do not have any European football as a distraction and they have more squad depth, so perhaps a bet at 9/1 is a good call for a long shot.
- Tottenham 9/1
Tottenham gave it their all last season and just fell short with a poor run of results in their last 5 games. Harry Kane will again look to be a formidable threat upfront together with new boy Vincent Janssen. Spurs have also retained much of their squad and will have Eriksen, Lamela and Dele Alli to call upon.
Interestingly last seasons champions Leicester have betting odds of 22/1 to retain the title.
